ARMONK, N.Y. - Byram Hills High School has nine seniors named National Merit finalists in the 57th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

The students have an opportunity to continue in the competition for scholarships that will be announced this spring.

"Out of 1.3 million test takers who took the merit exam these young people are ranked in the top one half percent across the country," said Michael McGrath, the guidance & counseling chair. "They're remarkable students who have done exceptionally well in 12 years in our school system and will continue to do well once they reach the university level.

"We have 210 seniors at Byram Hills and to have nine national Merit finalists is a remarkable achievement. It's consistent with our numbers for the past 15 years."

The nine finalists from Byram Hills are: Danielle Dinstein, Aurora Xu, Noah Zucker, Sydney Zepf, Marlee Infante, Samuel Freedman, and Robert Bayron. Not pictured: Matthew Hadiono and Jonah Jeng.
